FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

Who: Anyone enrolled in a business class at Rainier is eligible to join FBLA.

What: FBLA is a national organization for students who are preparing themselves for a role in business or are simply interested in business.

Where and When: FBLA will meet monthly on the third Thursday of each month in room 235 during lunch.

Why: FBLA is an awesome opportunity for you to meet other kids that have similar interests. WE primarily use this time to make business connections and network with industry leaders locally.  Each lunch meeting has a designated speaker via zoom or in person and you may bring your lunch or get it from the cafeteria.

How Much: Rainier’s FBLA Chapter costs $25 an academic year. $16 goes to state and national dues and the remainder goes to our local chapter. Our deadline for joining is November 1 for this year.

FBLA Creed: I believe education is the right of every person.

I believe the future depends on mutual understanding and cooperation among business, industry, labor religious, family and educational institutions, as well as people around the world. I agree to do my utmost to bring about understanding and cooperation among all of these groups.

I believe every person should prepare for a useful occupation and carry on that occupation in a manner that brings the greatest good to the greatest number.

I believe every person should actively work towards improving social, political, community and family life.

I believe every person has the right to earn a living at a useful occupation and that this right should not be denied because of race, color, sex, or handicap.

I believe every person should take a responsibility for carrying out assigned tasks in a manner that brings credit to self, associates, school and community.

I believe I have the responsibility to work efficiently and to think clearly. I promise to use my abilities to make the world a better place for everyone.

If after talking with parents and researching you’d like to join FBLA please do so. It is easy . . .  pay your $25 (check made out to RHS) or money to the office and get a receipt. (If money is an issue please privately see Mrs. Rossmaier). The receipt register is what we will report to FBLA for roster and verification.

We will meet at lunch time the third Thursday of the month.
