KELLI GARNER
Hi, I'm Mrs. Garner, the middle school and high school art teacher at Rainier. I absolutely love my job and love working on new ideas to enhance my students' art education and experiences. I have very high expectations of myself as well as my students. I am currently incorporating technology along with some reading/writing into my lessons. I believe that EVERY ONE of my students is a Van Gogh in some way! My philosophy about art is that it is a "problem solving" arena. There are several ways to accomplish something. I emphasize creativity, thinking outside the box, working hard, and doing your BEST all of the time!

ANECIA OLSON
Hello! I’m Mrs. Olson, and I’m excited to be your science teacher this year. With degrees in Biology and Chemistry, I bring a deep passion for science and a commitment to making it engaging and accessible for all students.
My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that every student has the potential to succeed. I aim to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where curiosity is nurtured, and every student feels valued. I utilize a mix of inquiry-based learning and hands-on experiments to help students connect scientific concepts to real-world applications.
In my classroom, I focus on building strong relationships with students, setting clear expectations, and using positive reinforcement to maintain a respectful and productive atmosphere. I’m dedicated to catering to diverse learning styles and providing the support needed for each student to reach their goals.
Outside of teaching, I’m a mom of six children and run a family farm with a cow, two pigs, chickens, geese, and dogs. This background enriches my teaching with practical insights into the natural world and reinforces my passion for science. These experiences also remind me of the importance of curiosity and hands-on learning.
My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of science in my students and equip them with the tools they need to explore and achieve. I look forward to an exciting year of learning and discovery with you all!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Olson
